Wandsworth Council is committed to a major investment programme on the Winstanley and York Road Estates.

Conservative-run Wandsworth Council is committed to a major investment to improve these two local estates. The 'Masterplan' has been progressing and local residents and stakeholders were recently consulted on the four possible options for the future of our neighbourhood.

The feedback collected during this period is being used to identify and work up a preferred option which should be presented to the community for further consultation starting at the end of January.

As a separate initiative on the two estates, Wandsworth Council has appointed local Battersea charity STORM to run a two year mentoring project to help young men aged 18 to 24 who are not in education or employment.

The key aims of this project are to prepare young men on the estates for work or training and to help them fulfil their potential.

Wandsworth Conservatives are proposing to keep the Town Hall's share of your council tax bill frozen for 2013-14. If the plans are adopted, Wandsworth's council tax rate will be around half theLondon average.
