Local residents can now visit one of the first in a new style of modern open plan Post Offices at the new Putney branch which has just moved to Vetry’s Convenience store at 197 Upper Richmond Road.

Following a concerted five year campaign to expand river transport Thamesfield Councillors Rosemary Torrington, Mike Ryder and Jim Maddan are delighted that Thames Clippers are to operate the river bus service from April.

A proposal for a new foot/cycle bridge that will provide a much needed link across the Thames between Battersea and Fulham has been submitted to Wandsworth Council for full planning permission. If granted, we could welcome a new pedestrian bridge alongside the existing Battersea (Cremorne) railway bridge. The project was announced last year as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
