Children’s playground proves a big hit

The Council’s investment in the Tooting Triangle playground is proving popular with local families. Children had a key role in choosing the play equipment and designing the space. Local councillors also lobbied to prevent mobile phone companies installing a mast nearby.

Improvements underway at ARK Putney Academy

£1.9m investment in Balham town centre

Local Conservative councillors are delighted that Balham Town Centre Partnership has secured £1.9million to encourage people to explore, enjoy and invest in Balham town centre. The investment comes from the Mayor’s Outer London Fund with matching funding from Wandsworth Council.

The first River Taxi opening the new service from Putney to Blackfriars departed from Putney at 6.30am on Tuesday 2nd April. One of the earliest travellers on the Thames Clipper was Richard Tracey, the Mayor's Ambassador for River Transport and London Assembly Member for Wandsworth and Merton.

Wandsworth Council is taking action to help residents improve recycling rates.
